Fuel Price Tracker is a free Android app that displays live fuel prices published by Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CEYPETCO), Sri Lanka. It is developed and maintained by an independent developer based in Sri Lanka.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect your name, email address, location, device identifiers, usage data, payment information, or any other personal information.
3. Data Stored on Your Device
The only data this app stores lives entirely on your device and is never transmitted anywhere:
Your price alert thresholds (the above/below values you set for 92 Octane, 95 Octane, and Auto Diesel)
A one-time flag that tracks whether the welcome notification has been shown
4. Fuel Price Data
The app fetches publicly available fuel prices from the CEYPETCO website. This is an outbound request only — no personal data is included. We do not log when or how often you check prices.
5. App Permissions
INTERNET — to fetch live CEYPETCO fuel prices
POST_NOTIFICATIONS — to send price alerts when prices cross your chosen thresholds. You can revoke this at any time in Android Settings.
VIBRATE — for haptic feedback when using the app
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — so background price checks resume automatically after your device restarts
6. Background Processing
The app periodically checks fuel prices in the background to trigger alerts. This process only fetches the public CEYPETCO price page, compares it to your local thresholds, and shows a notification if needed. No data is sent to us or any third party.
7. Third-Party Services
This app contains no ads, no analytics SDKs, and no crash reporting tools. No third-party services receive any data from this app.
8. Children's Privacy
Fuel Price Tracker is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, the effective date at the top will be revised. We encourage you to check this page periodically.
